I’ve been having a look at the Mini Cooper SD Clubman. Have any of you Mini fans seen it? I’m thinking of asking my boss Peter Vardy if I could have it over the weekend for a little test drive. I’m a huge Mini fan and love how you can make them your own each and every time with the various options and packages available.
The air intakes on the front, black front grille, exterior mirror covers and unique clubdoor make this Mini stand out from the crowd. It even had built in sensors that recognise dangers on the road before they arise. ASC+t, CBC and EBD ensure the ultimate safe journey. If you don’t know what they are go check out the Mini website, but trust me when I tell you there is nothing they haven’t thought about!
Runflat tyres mean you’ll always get from A to B, headlights adapt to the direction of the road in front and six airbags protect you inside the car. You also get to choose your gadgets. Rain sensors, a 5 star Chili pack, alloy wheels and of course the best sound system and technology available.
Oh there goes Peter Vardy…must dash! I’ll see if he wants something nice for lunch…or maybe a cup of tea…
And of course ask him about the Clubman…
I had a great time on Sunday at Knockhill and was very impressed with the cars on display at the Scottish Motor Show. Despite the wind and rain, the place was busy with loads to do. We were able to duck in and out of tents to avoid the rain and had a great view of the track and the tricks that were performed.
There’s been lots going on at Peter Vardy recently. I was at our Motherwell branch on Saturday. Did you see me? Or maybe you saw me last weekend at our BMW branch in Edinburgh? I had a great time meeting everyone. I’ll let you know where I’ll be next and you can come say hello.
Last but not least, we’ve got to give ourselves a pat on the back. We’ve been nominated for 5 awards at the Motor Trader Awards 2011. The finals take place on 13th July in London so we’re hoping Peter Vardy will be winners on the day!

It’s the Scottish Motor Show this weekend at Knockhill. I can’t wait to go up there and check out all the cars that’ll be on show. Major manufacturers and dealers from the UK and Europe will be showing off their best cars. Exhibitors include Vauxhall, SEAT, Subaru, Honda and BMW to name but a few. This year some of the dealers will have their latest green models on display including new hybrids, electric, and fuel cars.
World class stunt drivers will be demonstrating their tricks in cars and on bikes, whilst some of the most amazing tricks will be shown in the air. There’ll be free 4x4 rides and cars available for test ride demonstrations around the circuit. There’s loads going on!
I quite fancy having a go at the karting and trying to beat “the Stig's” time! And they haven’t forgotten about the kids…there’s free face painting, bouncy castles, fun fair rides and visitors from Deep Sea World.
